With the echo of a gun salute, blue roses placed in remembrance, and a riderless horse symbolizing those who have fallen in the line of duty, today’s Ellis County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony was a moving tribute to the 16 Ellis County first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
Members of the Red Oak Police Department joined fellow first responders from across Ellis County at the annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony in Waxahachie. We proudly stand alongside our public safety partners in honoring and remembering those who gave their lives in service to others.
Those department in attendance include: Waxahachie Police Department Ennis Police Department Waxahachie Fire-Rescue Department, Dallas Police Department Ellis County Sheriff's Office Ferris Department of Public Safety and more.
Support starts with being seen, heard, and knowing you're not alone 💜 In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, we’re reminding our community that help is always within reach.
The Red Oak Police Department’s Crime Victims Liaison, Crystal Butcher, is here to walk alongside victims every step of the way, offering resources, guidance, and care when it matters most. No one should have to figure it out on their own, and here, you don’t have to.
📞 Victims may contact Crystal at 469-218-7783 or by email to learn more about the Victim Assistance Program.
