🐾 Meet the Doctor: Lauren Wertheimer, DVM 🐾

Dr. Lauren Wertheimer has been part of the RBVH family for 10 years! After completing an internship in 2015, she spent five years in Emergency before transitioning into her current hybrid ER and General Practice role.

Her favorite part of being a GP veterinarian? Building lasting relationships with pets and their people, and having the privilege of caring for them throughout every stage of their lives—from their playful early years to their senior days. ❤️

At home, Dr. Wertheimer has quite the crew:
🐶 Beanie – Hound/Shar Pei mix, pictured here, all smiles with Mom.
🐱 Goose, Duck & Geraldine – Domestic Shorthairs
🐔 Eight chickens – Cruella, Pierogi, Pocahontas, Littlefoot, Chips, Pock-Pock, Honey and Bunny

When she’s not at the hospital, you can find her at the beach with her 2-year-old son, tending to her hobby farm, gardening in the summer, or propagating her indoor plants.

Fun fact: If she hadn’t become a veterinarian, Dr. Wertheimer says she would have loved to be a meteorologist! 🌦️

☀️Getting Wet Wednesday☀️

There's nothing quite like seeing happy dogs splash around on a hot summer day! Especially if those happy dogs are getting a break from the shelter.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Red Bank Veterinary Hospital team, we recently donated kiddie pools and tennis balls to our friends at the Associated Humane Tinton Falls as part of our RBVH Gives Back initiative, helping some of their adoptable pups beat the heat in the best way possible.

Pictured here are Oak, Scobie and Tofu, three adorable adoptables, who wasted no time diving into the fun!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at RBVH who donated to this drive. Your kindness brought comfort, enrichment, and a whole lot of tail wags to dogs waiting for their forever homes.
