Genesius Theatre Announces New Leadership Team to Guide the Organization into the Future
Genesius Theatre is proud to announce the promotion of two longtime leaders and dedicated members of its artistic community, Becka Malanios and James Haggerty, as the organization enters an exciting new chapter.
After years of commitment, creativity, and service to the theater, Becka Malanios has been named Executive Director. In this role, she will oversee the day-to-day operations of Genesius Theatre while continuing to expand and strengthen the organization’s children's programming and educational initiatives.
James Haggerty will assume the role of Artistic Director, where he will lead the artistic vision and development of all adult programming. His leadership, creativity, and passion for storytelling will help shape the future of Genesius Theatre’s productions and artistic endeavors.
Together, Becka and James bring a shared commitment to excellence, community, and innovation. Their leadership will guide Genesius Theatre forward while honoring the rich legacy that has defined the organization for generations and ensuring that all are welcomed into its future.
As part of this transition, Genesius Theatre would also like to extend its deepest gratitude to Douglas Carter Beane for his artistic vision, leadership, and guidance over the past nine months. Through his generosity, expertise, and dedication, he has helped position the theatre for continued success and growth. His contributions have been invaluable, and the entire Genesius community is profoundly grateful for the time and talent he has shared with the organization.
Genesius Theatre looks forward to this new era of leadership and the opportunities it brings to continue serving audiences, artists, and the community for years to come.
