151st Regional Support Group

JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS, Mass. - The Soldiers and leaders of the 151st Regional Support Group proudly recognize the retirement of Chief Warrant Officer 4 David Hannigan following a distinguished career of nearly 30 years of service to our Nation.

During a ceremony at Joint Force Headquarters-Massachusetts on June 24, CW4 Hannigan was awarded the Legion of Merit, one of the Army’s highest awards for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service and achievement. This prestigious recognition reflects decades of unwavering dedication, professionalism, and leadership in support of Soldiers, units, and missions across the force.

“Over 29 years of service and a true impact that can’t just be replaced,” said U.S. Army Col. (P) Jason Oberton, Assistant Adjutant General, Massachusetts National Guard and presiding official of the ceremony. “Thank you for your years of hard work and dedication. You should be proud of the impact you’ve had, and you will be missed. Thank you, chief.”

As the 151st Regional Support Group’s Brigade Human Resources Technician, CW4 Hannigan served as a trusted advisor, mentor, and technical expert, ensuring the highest standards of personnel readiness and administrative excellence. His commitment to taking care of Soldiers and developing future leaders has left a lasting impact on the Massachusetts National Guard and the Army profession.

“You know, looking back on 29 years, you meet a lot of people on the way, and you don't get to that point in your career without those individuals, and I wish I could just thank everyone that I worked with,” said CW4 (ret.) Hannigan. “But we'd be here till tomorrow."

We thank CW4 Hannigan for his selfless service, remarkable contributions, and steadfast commitment to our Soldiers. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement and the Legion of Merit. We wish you and your family continued success and happiness in the next chapter of life.
