Reading Public Library

We are delighted to share that local author Jennifer Ott will be visiting two RPL locations this summer to read an excerpt from her recent middle grade novel, "Cnute the Talking Skull"! Ages 9-13 can enjoy this free program and enjoy writing their name in Viking Runes as well as learning about Viking mythology. Light snacks will be available at both programs!

Jennifer Ott will be visiting RPL on the following dates!
Wednesday, June 17 at 3:30PM - Northeast Branch
Tuesday, July 14 at 3PM - Main Library

Local author Thanh Nguyen is visiting RPL Main on Saturday, June 20 at 1PM to discuss the inspiration behind his latest works, "Ticket to Romance"! Enjoy a glimpse into his writing routines and stories behind the stories. His book is also available in our collection!

"On the count of three, everybody say, 'Pollinators'!" 🦋🐝

Kindergarten students from 16th and Haak stopped by Southeast Branch yesterday morning to read "The Very Impatient Caterpillar", followed by making a butterfly craft and learning about our new pollinator box from Habitat for Humanity!

This pollinator box was made possible thanks to Habitat for Humanity's annual Birdhouse Challenge. Our branches were grateful to have these boxes installed to provide a cozy nesting place for pollinators big and small!
