As of today the Fire Marshals Office has lifted the current Burn Ban in effect. Please continue to check as the Burn Ban may be reinstated as weather conditions change. We would like to thank you for your help and support during this inconvenience.

It is a triple threat Monday with 3 weather hazards expected today! The first will be the southerly winds between 30 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph. This has led us to issue a Wind Advisory between 10am and 6pm. These strong winds coupled with dry conditions and dry grasses has also led us to issue a Red Flag Warning for portions of northeastern Kansas and northwestern Missouri from 3pm through 8pm. Avoid all outdoor burning as any fuels that do ignite will quickly burn out of control! The third threat, in form of severe weather, will affect the area from late this afternoon into this evening. All modes of severe weather will be possible including large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado can not be ruled out.
