These two beautiful ladies came in today and declared it was “Love Your Community Day!” Thank you so much for the box of much needed food and thank you for supporting our community! ❤️

This week our spotlight is shining brightly on Miss Karen!

Karen knew early in life that her purpose was to work with children. She became a Montessori school teacher where she taught preschool through 4th grade. Over her 25 year career she traveled and taught in 5 states. After retiring, she wanted to still work with children, so she became a personal nanny. She also dedicated 18 years to working with the Boy Scouts.

The job that Karen does for us is a very important one. She sorts clothing and other donated items, making sure that each piece meets our quality standards and is ready to put out on the rack. She also assists our clients when they are needing a certain size or looking for something specific.

When Karen was asked why she volunteers, she said that she enjoys being around people and that she likes to help others.

We are so grateful to have Karen as one of our valued volunteers. Her commitment to our organization and to serving others is making a positive impact in our communities!

Right now, there is a major need to keep our food shelves stocked for families in our area. If you know of a church or organization that would be willing to host a food drive we would be very grateful. ❤️
