Last week, I moved a candidate forward to interview. Before her call, I told her she needed to adjust her video setup — the camera was angled up her nose instead of at eye level. I explained why it mattered.

- She didn’t listen.
- She made excuses.
- But here’s the thing:

When someone with experience gives you feedback, it’s not optional.

- It’s not criticism.
- It’s not personal.
- It’s preparation.

Coachability is one of the biggest silent filters in hiring.
If you can’t take small adjustments, you won’t be trusted with bigger ones.

Sometimes the difference between moving forward and getting stuck is simple:

Are you coachable?
- When was the last time you took feedback as an opportunity for
personal growth?

Feedback is:
- Not as criticism.
