An image of our Sunsort was featured by our Argentinian partner Citromax Group on Jan, 24th, the International Day of Education. We would like to congratulate Citromax Group on the success of its education and sustainability program.
Interesting facts about the featured Sunsort: It’s a 6-lane wash side sorter that is a part of a 26-lane installation completed in 2019. It’s also where we achieved one of Sunsort’s momentous milestones: Citrus Canker detection. This was a collaborative effort between RTS and Citromax Group to train the Sunsort AI to specifically sort out Citrus Canker while performing its programmed grading. This was a testament to the power of A.I. and cemented its role in the future of packhouses.

Do you know that Sunsort ͣ ͥ can grade a fruit's "coarseness”? Top-grade fruit not only has to be blemish-free it also has to be smooth! Using special optics and AI, Sunsort ͣ ͥ is trained to identify peaks and valleys of a fruit from which it creates a contour map of the surface. This map allows the packhouse to sort these blemish-free fruits into more granular categories to yield higher profits!
