Iโve always loved learning about different natural health modalities and often find bits and pieces of information that overlap with what Iโve learned about health and over the years.
I never formally studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, but was introduced to the philosophy by my mom who has been incorporating Chinese medicine with her clients for over 10+ years.
Remember that symptoms are not root causes but are simply a piece of the puzzle that point back to foundational imbalances.
Organ systems donโt work independently, rather they are a complex system that work together to create or equilibrium in the body.
Aside from addressing nutrient/mineral deficiencies and focusing on a nutrient dense whole foods diet, a few tips to support the liver are:
-MOVE your body = move stagnant energy ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
-Get enough SLEEP, ideally ~7-9 hours a night (the body detoxes while we sleep!) ๐ด
-Limit exposure to TOXINS - easier said than done, I know (alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, etc.) โ ๏ธ
-Manage STRESS (it directly impacts the organ systems) ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ
-Avoid large meals at least ~2-3 hours before going to bed ๐ฅ
-Limit EXCESSIVE dietary fats (the more fat we consume, the harder the liver has to work) ๐ง
Improving liver health doesnโt happen overnight, but when you are committed to your health and longevity, the choice to start making changes right away should be a no brainer ๐
Which of the liver symptoms shocked you the most?
