A shared hour at N2N transcends mere tutoring – it’s a collision, a bridge, a testament to the power of human connection. This snapshot of Julia and Zyyonna captures more than two individuals in matching stripes; these smiles clue you in to a longer, deeper knitting that’s happening and tightening our collective social fabric one relationship at a time. These Mentors and Students show that the change we need in our cities can grow from the simplest acts of showing up and opening up. Here, Mentors learn as much as they teach, and Students teach as much as they learn. 



Swipe to see the future ➡️ Last night, an N2N community dream was set in motion. Our ‘Evening to Ignite’ with was nothing short of magical, with over 375 people coming together to smash the goal for the a new Teen Center build at N2N. This dream, over 4 years in the making, is finally becoming a reality because and and believed in this project from day one! They rallied support and challenged generosity to flow freely.

These are the renders of the Neighbor Teen Center that, by the end of 2024, will add over 4000 sqft of vibrant, purposeful space dedicated to both enriching our teen programming and launching brand new initiatives like Neighbor Media! It will be a space where aspirations take flight, where Raleigh’s future leaders find their ground.

We could not have done this without over 40 vendors who donated their talents to the night, ensuring every penny raised directly fuels this groundbreaking project.

To those who were there and those who were with us in spirit – this victory is you. For 27 years, our first move has and is ALWAYS been to listen to the needs of our neighbors and our teens have long desired this space. The Neighbor Teen Center isn’t just a building; it’s a beacon, a promise of growth, and we can’t wait to tell you more about all our plans we have to leverage it for teens to not just grow academically but to also thrive vocationally and economically. Here’s to turning dreams into reality and to an even brighter future for our teens.

Go Ariel! Ariel’s graduation is not just a remarkable achievement; it’s a beacon of generational triumph 🎓✨. Her father Marvin, circled here, was one of the very first students ever at Neighbor to Neighbor. His mom, Ariel’s grandmother, was one of the first mom’s who spoke to what the community needed that led to the establishment of N2N! Her dream for her children in Walnut Terrace continues on through her son and her grandchildren.

So here we are, 27 years later, Marvin stands with his wife and children, celebrating Ariel’s milestone along with Mentors, N2N Staff and leaders, a true testament to the enduring power of community support and educational empowerment. So for us, this is more than a family celebration; it’s a legacy of resilience and hope, a generational commitment to breaking barriers and building futures, one family at a time. 💫👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
