As of Friday (4/9/2021) we have been released to administer the COVID-19 Janssen vaccine. To quote the Public Health Dept..."Analysis by the CDC did not find any safety issues or reason for concern; and the CDC recommends continuing to administer the vaccines." Since we have been getting a lot of calls concerning the COVID 19 vaccine we thought we would share some information with you:
Wake County is currently in Phase 1a
Phase 1a is aimed to protect health care workers who work with COVID 19 patients directly, those working on the vaccine rollout, and those at highest risk of being hospitalized or dying from COVID 19. While vaccines are NOT CURRENTLY open to the public yet, we ask for everyone's patience as we work through the prioritizations.
