On September 23, Duke Raleigh invites members of the community, as well as health care providers, to "Living Well, Leaving Well: A Community Dialogue on Palliative Care with Dr. Delani Mann". This event is designed to empower our community — especially those aged 45 and older — with knowledge, resources, and a safe space to explore palliative care. Whether you're a patient, caregiver, family member, or simply curious about planning for the future, we welcome your participation.

Friday, June 6, is National Gun Violence Awareness Day, an observance designed to honor victims and survivors of gun violence and to raise awareness about gun safety. The Wear Orange Day initiative began in 2015, by friends commemorating the life of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton who was killed by gunfire on a Chicago playground. They chose to wear orange because it is the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others.

Duke Health is one of many organizations across the country working to end gun violence. To show our support, Duke Raleigh team members are participating in Wear Orange Day on June 6. Join Duke Raleigh in this journey to end gun violence by wearing orange and posting your photos with the hashtag !
