NCCASA CARES Act: Supporting Survivors & RCC Advocates
Have you been financially impacted by COVID-19? Are you a sexual assault survivor in NC or an RCC advocate in NC? NCCASA may be able to support you financially. Through the CARES Act, NCCASA has launched an application to receive financial support. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants will be contacted within 2-3 business days.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I apply to receive assistance with? If you are a survivor of sexual violence, you can apply to receive assistance with living expenses, food expenses, clothing expenses, and others relevant to the cost of living. If you are an RCC advocate, you can apply to receive assistance with purchases beneficial to your physical and emotional well-being.
How far in advance can I request funds? Because this funding is from the CARES Act, all purchases and invoices must be made prior to 12/30/20. All expenses funded must take place in 2020.
What will I need to provide for the application? Once contacted, you will be asked for a breakdown of the total amount requested and any relevant documentation to the requests, such as bills, invoices, or therapist name/licensure.
NCCASA is actively going to link survivors with their local programs, so they are aware of a program in their area that can additionally provide support. With joint services from NCCASA and programs across the state, we will ensure survivor and advocate needs are met.
