This reel shows the power of breaking training down into small, achievable steps.
My dog didn’t want to retrieve anything I threw. Instead, he’d grab it and run away. So instead of forcing the end result, we went back to the basics.
We started in the bathroom with a bumper, teaching him to pick it up and bring it back to me in a small, distraction-free space. Once he understood the game, we slowly built from there.
Fast forward to today: he’s swimming out into the lake, grabbing the bumper, and bringing it right back.
Training isn’t about perfection overnight. It’s about patience, consistency, and showing up every day. Put in the work, trust the process, and celebrate the small wins—they add up. 🐾
