The new album has managed to stay in the Americana Music Association's TOP TEN for its 3rd straight week. Our single, Good Things is slipping but other songs are taking its place like Longshot, Might As Well Be King and Goodbye Cowgirl. We got added by 3 new Americana Chart reporting radio stations this week. Thank you 98.7wvmo in Madison, KHNS in Alaska, and 90.1 FM KPFT Houston in Texas! If we can keep getting new adds maybe we can give this record some added new life on the radio.
After 20 years of doing this, there is no other way than word of mouth for a band like us. We've always been an independent band with limited funding and absolutely zero connections inside of this business. No matter how hard we've looked, we've never found one single shortcut. One of 2 reasons we're still here is because we've busted our asses, suffered a million dues paid, hundreds of poorly attended shows, and often times the weariest of souls but still kept on. The other reason is YOU, the fans, our friends, our lifeblood. You have given us a bed to sleep, hot food to eat, you have financed each and every one of our recordings, given us hope, and often when we needed it the most reminded us of what this music means to you. THANK YOU. Let's keep this record alive, I'm not ready for it to fall back into obscurity just yet. STREAM, STREAM, SHARE, SHARE, SHOUT IT LOUD EVERYWHERE!!!

Let's send a little love Rob Carroll's way. Rob is another one of our Utah friends and fans. He's become a Rooster Walk and Yarnival - Music & Alternative Arts Festival staple, and one of our most passionate and outspoken Yarn advocates. Rob is music, he lives, drinks, eats and breathes it. It's his life blood. He created The Yarniverse, our facebook fam group, he's started a podcast called Sharing The Groove where he shares his deep passionate love of music, and probably goes out to see at least 3 live shows a week. He's the man and we must celebrate him!!!
We probably would only need about 100 more Rob's to quite possibly take over the world. This picture taken by Cloud Bobby a few weeks ago really captures the essence that is our dear brother Rob. He would also tell you to hit the road and come see us at all our shows this summer. Right Rob?!

Not once in the history of my music career have I ever used my birthday to promote one of my shows. I've never been a big birthday guy. But it turns out that my 50th falls on the same day as Mountain Laurel Jam Fest in Old Fort, NC this coming June 13th. And it just so happens to include some of my most favorite people that this incredible musical universe has brought to me. Therefore I can't help but shout it out loud from the social media rooftops...
COME CELEBRATE MY 50th with me and at least 10 of my favorite people. Of course first and foremost my wife Mandy will be there. We met at a Yarn show at The Pour House Music Hall & Record Shop in Raleigh, NC 18 years ago. Then there's Bobby & Ricky, the best damn rhythm section and van-mates the road has to offer. Danny Balfour hopped on this train way back when during the first Festy in Charlottesville, VA thanks to Railroad Earth. Dan Lotti, Mike Sivilli and Steven Sandifer of Dangermuffin came into my life at The Surf Bar in Folly Beach, SC many moons ago. And my first recollection of meeting Ward & Russ from Sol Driven Train was at FloydFest in 2008. Our new friend Dan Hood will also be joining us on guitar. INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL!!!
COME CELEBRATE!!! The stage will be full of friends, love and music, and the smiles will all be HUGE!!!
