Congratulations to our Natural Hair Care Specialist graduates!
After close to 400 hours of hands-on training, these students are ready to turn their passion into a profession. From braiding, twisting, wrapping, extending, and locking natural hair to learning client consultations, business management, and professional ethics, they have built the skills needed to succeed in the beauty industry.
Along the way, they practiced their techniques on real clients in the Wake Tech salon, gaining valuable experience and confidence behind the chair.
Next stop: the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art licensing exam! We can't wait to see where their talents take them.
Join us in celebrating this talented group of graduates as they begin their careers in natural hair care!

Congratulations to our latest Bilingual Community Health Worker graduates!
Over the course of this program, students gained the skills and knowledge needed to support individuals and families in navigating health and community resources, advocate for healthier communities, and address issues that impact overall well-being.
We're proud to celebrate this group as they prepare to make a difference in communities across our region!
We were happy to have our Community Outreach Department participate in the Fiesta Family Health and Resources Fair at Apex UMC and the Fiesta Resource Center!
Our team enjoyed connecting with community members, sharing valuable program information, and helping families learn more about available resources. A special thank you to our AVP of Workforce Development, Monica Gemperlein, for stopping by the Wake Tech booth and engaging with attendees—highlighting the many opportunities and programs Wake Tech offers.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us—we look forward to continuing to serve and uplift our community!
