Growth doesn’t always announce itself. It shows up quietly in the way we handle a hard conversation, the things that no longer rattle us, or the choices we make intuitively.

But it’s not integrated until you name it.

This week at Jgroup, we paused to reflect: “How are you different now than when you started this year?”

Sitting around the fire, boys and men looked beyond that moment and explored the last few months. Uncovering times when life was great and times when life knocked them over.

Presence and awareness is the first step. Honest articulation is what grounds us. Being witnessed is what makes it stick. When we name the growth we’ve undergone, we build confidence in ourselves and trust in our ability to keep doing it. The lessons are solidified when accessed, articulated and seen by community.

This is the work.

This is what allows us to take the lessons with us and move into what’s next.
