my testimony
hi my name is robin, my experience for this church has been amazing i met so many new people. i definitely love learning more about our amazing heavenly father who created life for us. i started coming back to church because i was losing faith in my self. becoming a parent for the firs time i thought i was doing everything wrong. but i keep learning more and more everyday about my daughters life and enjoy letting her explore what heavenly father built for us. everyday is an adventure learning more about life and nature. most of all, i gained my faith and strength back because i needed it back from dealing with the postpartum depression. i have my good and bad days. but i always know heavenly father is looking down saying your doing an amazing job with my beautiful girl.

šŸ’”ā¤ļøWhen life feels like it's falling apart, there's a love that holds you together šŸ’”ā¤ļø

🤲What can the Atonement of Jesus Christ do for me?🤲
-
ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹To understand the hope we can receive through Christ, we need to understand the law of justice. This is the unchanging law that brings consequences for our actions. Obedience to God brings positive consequences, and disobedience brings negative ones. (See The Book of Mormon, Alma 42:14–18.) When we sin, we become spiritually unclean, and no unclean thing can live in God’s presence (see The Book of Mormon, 3 Nephi 27:19).ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹
-
ā˜ŗļøDuring Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice, He stood in our place, suffered, and paid the penalty for our sins. God’s plan gives Jesus Christ power to make intercession on our behalf—to stand between us and justice (see The Book of Mormon, Mosiah 15:9). Because of Jesus’s atoning sacrifice, He can claim His rights of mercy on our behalf as we exercise faith unto repentance. ā€œThus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice, and encircles [us] in the arms of safetyā€ (see The Book of Mormon, Alma 34:16).😊

HE WILL:
Heal your heartbreak
Lift your burdens
Forgive your mistakes
Give you hope when you're lost &
Bring you peace in the storms you face
The Savior's love is real. It’s for you. šŸ’–"

🚪Ever wondered what's inside an Institute? šŸ¤” Take a tour of ours in Chapel Hill! šŸ“ Located in the heart of campus, we're a community of young single adults (and friends!) from all over, gathering to learn and grow together.
-
šŸ‘‰ But here's the thing: we're not just in Chapel Hill. There are YSAs everywhere! šŸŒŽ Whether you're in Raleigh, Greenville, or beyond, you can connect with us and find a community near you. If you aren't in the YSA age range (18-35) you can still sign up to worship the Savior Jesus Christ with us this Sunday!
-
🫵God has given us this experience on earth so we can learn, grow, and become more like Him. With perfect love, He wants us to return to Him after we die. However, we cannot do this on our own. Because God loves us, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us. ā€œFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, … that the world through him might be savedā€ (John 3:16–17).
-
🫵God wants to bless us with peace and a fulness of joy that will last for eternity. He has provided a plan that gives us the opportunity to receive these blessings. This plan is called the plan of salvation.

What is the purpose of baptism?
-
-
Why do so many religions invite me to be baptized?
-
-
How can baptism help me?
-
-
Because God loves us! He wants us to get close to him so He can get close to us. Baptism is how we first enter a covenant relationship with God. Baptism has two parts: baptism by water and by the Spirit. When we are baptized and confirmed, we are cleansed of our sins, giving us a new start in life. We are baptized by immersion, following Jesus’s example. We partake of the sacrament each week in remembrance of Jesus’s sacrifice and to renew our covenants with God.
-
1. Take upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ
2. Keep the commandments
3. Serve God and others
4. Endure to the end
-
In return God promises us that we may always have His spirit to be with us! After we are baptized, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost through the ordinance of confirmation. When we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, we can have His companionship throughout our lives if we are faithful. The Holy Ghost sanctifies us, guides us, comforts us, and helps us know the truth.

Hello, my name is Brian Long from the Morrisville Ward in North Carolina. In 2023 I began to seek the truth, reading the Holy Bible from beginning to end, daily. While in Fayetteville, NC it replaced worldly music and gossip with things praising God. The more I chased God’s love, the more everything else felt irrelevant. Though I struggled letting go, God’s grace was a true testimony each time.

Two Sisters came to my home and told me about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Book of Mormon. I trusted the Bible, so this was trust-but-verify for me. But their patience was undeniable. Sunday service was centered on praise, worship, testimonies, and ways to be involved. Sisters and Elders helped me stay active — even playing basketball, keeping me from the wrong environment.

I had an opportunity to be baptized but it was delayed, and I learned patience. Later, in Yanceyville, NC, I became homeless. Family and members gave me food, shelter, and rides. I remember sleeping in the rain on a bench, yet at peace reading the word and listening to gospel music and President Nelson’s talks. It felt like becoming a soldier for Christ Jesus.

In Chapel Hill’s YSA ward I knew I was ready to be baptized. Since baptism I’ve seen others join and become fishers of men! Let’s complete the mission — extinguish division between members, and shine our light against worldly ways in every ward and Stake. To God Be the Glory and Jesus is Lord!!! Amen šŸ™šŸ¾ Agent for Christ Jesus, Brian Long standing firm.

šŸ’Happy Mother’s DayšŸ’
-
Today we celebrate mothers — the quiet peacemakers, the steadfast believers, the women who say ā€œyesā€ to God even when the path isn’t clear.
-
We look to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and see that kind of faith. When the angel came, her answer was simple: _ā€œBehold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.ā€_ Luke 1:38. She didn’t have all the answers. But she trusted. She pondered these things in her heart. Luke 2:19. She stayed close to her Son through the joy of the manger and the sorrow of the cross. John 19:25.
-
That’s discipleship. That’s motherhood. Saying "yes" to God one day, one prayer, one act of love at a time.
-
To every mom, grandmother, stepmom, foster mom, and woman who mothers with her heart: *thank you*. Your faith, sacrifice, and quiet courage point us to Christ.
-
_Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God._ Matthew 5:9. You make peace in your homes. You raise children of God.
-
This Sunday, we invite you to come and worship with us. Come feel the peace Christ offers. Come be reminded that He sees you, He loves you, and He strengthens you in your sacred calling.
-
Tag a mom who inspires you šŸ‘‡ and let her know she’s seen, loved, and appreciated today.
