With Raleigh temperatures climbing into the triple digits, the ladies have their warm-weather routine down to a science.

Their staycation essentials include:

💦 Cooling sprinkler "showers"
❄️ Fans for a refreshing breeze
😴 Plenty of afternoon naps

The sand bedding in our freestall barns gives cows a comfortable place to rest while helping keep the stalls clean and healthy by limiting bacterial growth. Some even have a favorite stall they return to each day!

To help beat the heat, sprinklers lightly wet the cows while fans move air across their backs. As the water evaporates, it creates the same refreshing cooling effect you feel after stepping out of the pool on a breezy summer day.
