As part of the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) Program, Geneva Global Ethiopia successfully delivered specialized Education Management Information System (EMIS) training to School based ICT teachers and Experts from Zone Education Departments.
The training equipped participants with practical skills across the full data management lifecycle from offline data collection and Excel-based data preparation to bulk system submission, troubleshooting, reporting, and data visualization. Through hands-on learning in a high-fidelity EMIS training environment, participants gained the confidence and technical expertise needed to improve data accuracy, reduce reporting errors, and support evidence-based planning at the school level.
By strengthening technical capacity in data management, the training contributes to more reliable education information systems, improved school-level planning, and better-informed decisions that support quality teaching and learning outcomes.
The Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) Program is a five-year initiative by the Mastercard Foundation and implemented by imagine1day, Education Development Trust (Edt) and Geneva Global Ethiopia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education aiming to transform Ethiopia's secondary education into quality, equitable and relevant education system that enables students to advance in education and transition to the workforce.

Geneva Global Ethiopia recently convened leaders from partner universities and Colleges of Teacher Education (CTEs) across five regions under the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) Program.
This engagement created a valuable platform for dialogue on the critical role of higher education institutions in developing qualified teachers. A key highlight was the signing of Partnership Agreements—marking a shared commitment to improving the quality and equity of secondary education in Ethiopia.
The LiTE Program is a five-year initiative implemented by imagine1day, Education Development Trust (Edt), and Geneva Global Ethiopia. It aims to transform secondary education into a system that is equitable, high-quality, and relevant—empowering young people to progress in their education and transition successfully into the workforce.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all university and CTE leaders for their collaboration and commitment.
