Wadewitz Elementary

This has been a year of “New” here at Wadewitz. As our construction project comes to an end, I wanted to share one more new thing here at Wadewitz. The Wadewitz PTA has provided our school community with a new mascot costume and we could not be anymore excited. Thank you to the PTA for providing us with this. Can’t wait to show you all in person this fall!

This year we had 3 staff retire from Wadewitz. Assistant Principal Sharri Vandehey, Title 1 teacher Jane Hearn and Special Education Educational Assistant Cindy Andersen. All of them have had very different journeys that have lead them to the same place in their careers. And all have had a lasting impact on not only the Wadewitz community, but Racine as a whole. We are all better because of them. Please join me in thanking them for their service and wishing them all the best as a new chapter begins!

Easy way to be the cool kid in school is to get dropped off by a Fire Truck! Huge thank you to the Racine Fire Department for allowing our PTA to raffle this great prize off. What a great way to start off a Friday!
