Today, I’m sharing with you the first single for the debut album. ‘Boom Baf’ was a relatively unsuccessful single from the group for the debut. I can understand a song with 10 verses from the group would be a hard sell commercially.

Today, I’m sharing with you a limited edition 7” single from member . ‘Dear April’ was one of the many singles Frank Ocean dropped in 2019.

There was a lot of speculation that these singles were a roll out to his long waited new album. However, these Singles remained exactly that, as singles.

‘Dear April’ is one of my favourite singles from this series of releases and I’m super happy to have this single in my collection. The cover of this single comes in a luxe waxy feeling cardboard giving it a very premium feel to it. Unfortunately, the downside of this, is it attracts dust like a magnet and is incredibly hard to clean.

STRUGGLER TOUR: Hobart Concert (16/06/24)

In 2023 and 2024, I really enjoyed listening and following along with ’s sophomore album ‘STRUGGLER’. It had an awesome album rollout and I was hooked following along with it.

The album really captured me. Initially I had concerns on how he was going to follow up such an awesome initial project and how it would sound comparatively to his first project. Thankfully I was super impressed with the second project and it is an excellent second project.

I managed to attend a good number of concerts and festivals performed at during this era. With my favourite one being the one, I’ve posted about before, I attended taking the trip to Adelaide in late 2023.

I saw he was performing down in Hobart at . I was really excited to get the opportunity to see him for the 3rd or 4th time in this era. I saw this concert as probably the last time I’ll get to see him in the ‘STRUGGLER’ era.

So I wanted to go all out. I wanted to make the night as perfect as possible. I chucked on the merch I picked up in Adelaide. Shaved my head and got to help me spray a red line of hair paint to match the signature look had for the era.

Attended the concert and had an awesome time. It was great to see him for one last time in this era. I think I’ll forever remember this concert because there was a moment where quietened the crowd to hype up the crowd for the next track he was going to perform. He was explaining that “the song’s music video was filmed in a warehouse in Melbourne” and as soon I heard that I blurted out “HE’S GONNA PLAY STAY BLESSED”. I knew that because, I was chronically online and, I remember seeing the casting call he did for the music video on IG and I was so cut I missed out on it. But in that moment he paused the set to shout me out for knowing it. I was completely shook with the interaction but it’s one I’ll never forget.

I loved this concert and all the others I attended in the ‘STRUGGLER’ era. I’m keen to see the trajectory takes in his upcoming 3rd album.

NxWorries - Link Up & Suede (2015)

Today, I’m sharing with you the debut EP from music duo . The duo made up of the legendary producer & legendary vocalist ._paak.

This record is their 2015 debut EP ‘link up & suede’. A fun EP containing their two collaborative singles with some fun intro, interlude & outros added in on top.

The physical release gets some added goodies in it. With the instrumentals of those two fantastic singles also added to the release.

Released under records, the artwork has illustrations from artist . Who I am a huge fan of (if the numerous tattoos of his designs weren’t clear enough.)
