36 hour adventure in Machu Picchu looks like this:

May 26:
6:50A Departure from
*You will leave your large luggage at your door & will transfer it to our hotel in Cusco for your arrival on Wednesday evening 5/27.

8:50A Train Leaves Ollantaytambo (1 hour 45 min) to Agua Calientes

+ 25 min bus trip from train station.

Leave your overnight bag at the hotel & just take your hiking backpack with you at this point.

11A Circuit 2 hike

2P bus ride + return to Agua Callientes for lunch.

4:45P Check into Machu Picchu Hotel

6P Hot Springs for those who would like to do this.

*You will pack a small overnight bag for the train ride. It will include your basic essentials for Tuesday evening & Wednesday. You will leave this bag at the hotel (Mamasara) while we hike circuit 2 tomorrow & just bring a small bag for the hike.

-Hiking Poles

+ check out of hotel. Leave large backpack. Only take hiking bag.

6:00A Walk from hotel to bus station.

+ 25 min bus trip

7A Huyana Picchu Mountain (Circuit 3)

3.5 hour hike

lunch in Agua Calientes included

3:18P arrival at train station
3:48P train departure to Ollantaytambo.

1 hour 45 min train ride.

Transfer from train to van to Cusco.

8P arrival in Cusco Hotel San Agustín Dorado

*You will leave your overnight bag at the hotel when we leave for hike + pick up before train departure.
