THEME: GOD'S RIGHT HAND

MEMORISE: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:6

READ: Psalms 110:1-3
1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

MESSAGE
The phrase 'right hand' bears great significance in the Bible. It portrays a position of privilege- a place of honor and status. For example, our Lord Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 1:3). Hebrews 12:2 also reveals that after Jesus suffered and died on the cross, He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. The right hand of God represents His ultimate strength and power.

Who is gone into heaven and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. 1 Peter 3:22

The person being referred to in the Scripture above is Jesus. He is the One on the right hand of God with all powers in subjection to Him. No matter the earthly position a fellow occupies, there is more power and authority at the right hand of God. God's right hand is the place where all angels, authorities, and powers submit to Him. Psalm 18:35 also reveals that the right hand of God is the place of sustenance and help. Today's memory verse tells us that as God’s children, we are seated together with Christ, and since He is at God's right hand, we are also there with Him.

Being at the right hand of God means that you will never lack help and provision. It means that you will always find the timely and abundant help you need. Those who are at God's right hand are never small because His right hand is the place of power, as we see in Mark 14:62, which says: "And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. “This means that, as Christians, we are a people of power and influence. We enjoy help, sustenance, and favor from God. Unfortunately, however, while this is our identity as God's children, some believers are living far away from this reality because, like the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, they have wandered far away from the Father's right hand. They have heeded the call of sin and frustrated God's grace upon their lives.

Beloved, if you have not surrendered to God, or if you have wandered away from Him, I invite you today to come unto Him. He is knocking at the door of your heart (Revelation 3:20); open it up to Him. He is waiting for you earnestly with open arms; don't keep Him waiting.

REFLECTION
Are you occupying your place at God's right hand?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 23-25

HYMN 10: IN CHRIST ALONE
1 In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand

2 In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay

3 Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

4 No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

THEME: THE UNLIMITED GOD V

MEMORISE:
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. Haggai 2:8

READ: Psalms 50:10-15

10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

MESSAGE
Over the past few days, I have discussed how God cannot be hindered by opposition, circumstances, or time. I will continue this series today by discussing how He rules in the affairs of men and cannot be hindered by resources.

Psalm 24:1 says, "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein."

There is no need that is too great for God, the One who made the earth and its fullness, to meet. The world's richest man today only has a fraction of the earth's resources. Also, the combined wealth of the world's richest people is only a drop in the ocean compared to the vast riches that God has put on earth.

In Mark 6:35-44, when a multitude gathered before Jesus and the disciples were worried about how to feed them, He asked them to search if they could find some loaves of bread, but all they found was a little boy's meal. I am sure the disciples must have thought that Jesus would laugh when they brought it to Him, but He took that little meal and multiplied it to feed over 5,000 people.
When you give your little resources to the Lord, He will ensure that you have more than you need.

In 2 Kings 4:42-44, a man brought some foodstuff to Elisha that would have lasted him for a couple of days or weeks. However, Elisha was not alone; he had 100 other men, sons of the prophets, with him. When he asked his servant to serve the men, the servant wondered how such a small quantity of food would be enough. However, when the word of the Unlimited God came, that little food fed 100 men, and there were leftovers. When the word of the Lord comes upon the little you have, it will be more than enough.

In today's memory verse, God said that silver and gold belong to Him. Likewise, in today's Bible reading, He said that the beasts of the field and the cattle upon a thousand hills are His. God has unlimited resources, and one way to enjoy them is to live a life of thanksgiving.

When you appreciate God for everything He has done, He will do much more. It is the will of God that you give thanks in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Beloved, make giving thanks to your heavenly Father your lifestyle. There is no limit to what God can supply when you give Him thanks in all things.

KEY POINT
God is not limited by resources

HYMN 18: PRAISE TO THE LORD THE ALMIGHTY

1 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is
your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear;
now to his temple draw near,
join me in glad adoration.

2 Praise to the Lord, above
all things so wondrously reigning;
sheltering you under his wings,
and so gently sustaining!
Have you not seen all
that is needful has been
sent by his gracious ordaining?

3 Praise to the Lord, who will
prosper your work and defend you;
surely his goodness and mercy
shall daily attend you.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
if with his love he befriends you.

4 Praise to the Lord! O let all
that is in me adore him!
All that has life and breath,
come now with praises before him.
Let the Amen sound
from his people again;
gladly forever adore him
