This is the manager's house at our hotel in Amanda Park (Quinault). It's not super obvious in the first two photos (before), but the roof was very wavy under the weight of 2 layers of shingles. It had developed a couple of leaks in recent years, and it was just time for an upgrade. We tore everything off down to the 2x2 and 2x1 trusses. I can't believe they used to build homes like this. We upgraded the trusses to 2x6 and raised the pitch with a 2x12 down the beam. We ordered black metal panels and will get that installed in the next couple weeks.
