Mclaughlin Building
Five years ago, we took a chance on the McLaughlin Building.
Since then, I've heard it all:
"You're crazy."
"It's too big of a risk."
"That building will never get done."
There were plenty of obstacles and more than a few moments when it would've been easier to walk away. But I never stopped believing in the vision.
Today, I'm excited to announce that we have officially secured funding to begin Phase 1 of the rehabilitation of this beautiful historic landmark!
This is more than a win for us—it's a win for our community and for downtown Pueblo. Phase 1 will preserve and stabilize this incredible building, laying the foundation for its next chapter. It will include a new roof, new windows, and brick masonry work to restore the original brick. It's going to be cool to see the brick masons restore all of this old brick.
Our vision is to bring new commercial space to the street level and create beautiful lofts and condominiums on the upper floors, adding much-needed housing while preserving a piece of Pueblo's history.
Thank you to everyone who believed in this project and supported us along the way. This is just the beginning.
Thank You PURA for being a great steward in this process!
Stay tuned—it's finally happening. 🏗️❤️

Painted by local artists Joe Crawlfield
Originally, this door had a N**i sign spray painted on it. Now it's all cleaned up, painted and the trim.
These little things may seem small, but they are big for the Mclaughlin Building
