A simple exterior still needs the right proportions.
For this home, the cottage shape was kept clean, but we still wanted it to have character. The rooflines and overall form do a lot of the work here. When you get those pieces right, the home can feel charming without feeling overdesigned.

A lot of times, guest spaces are treated like leftover square footage.
For this home, we wanted that space to feel a little more thought through. Comfortable, private, easy to use, and still connected to the rest of the home. It is a simple thing, but it makes a big difference when people actually come to stay.

One thing we always try to pay attention to is how the home is actually going to be used day to day.
For this home, the goal was to make the main spaces feel connected to the way the family lives, not just connected on a floor plan. That is where custom design gets fun: the house starts to feel specific to the people who are going to live there.
