Five years ago today at the beginning of a global pandemic, 5/10/2020 - on Mother’s Day,
a random girl who I met for five minutes at a vegan festival in Boston, flew from Florida up to Boston to come live with me on my farm.
The plan was for her to relocate/make a fresh start and housesit for me while I was away on tour with Soft Kill once the world opened back up.

As soon as I saw her walking towards me in the terminal at Logan, I think we both knew I wasn’t gonna be playing bass for SK. Since that fateful airport pickup, we haven’t been apart for a single day. No, really, 1826 days straight. “Is one more minute gonna kill you now?!”

The only thing that could top being back in Jamaica for our Five Year Anniversary, is being out on the road on tour on the last day of an unbelievable three week run with our forever family in Rosegarden Funeral Party. Sometimes life is stranger than most dystopian fiction but today it is more beautiful than a fairytale. 💃🏻🕺🏿
