Happy Easter❣️🌸🐇 Hope the Easter Bunny hopped over to your place and left you something sweet. Spring is almost here! 🐇🌸
Staying true to our tradition of taking wintertime ; & I traveled down the snowy seashore on Saturday. All trips into need to start for the best & . Miraculously we hit no traffic and dropped off at the Norwalk train station right as the snow started to come down heavy & quick! Once I dropped off Kate at the baby shower, I made my way to the ever-so-charming Rowayton Library. Rowayton is a charming, picturesque village in Norwalk, CT. It’s one of my most favorite small “towns”. With the snow falling all around, the library looked like it popped out of the English Countryside in a snowstorm. Charming to a tee. The library is nestled a park where serious platform tennis players keep their 1pm court times even in the middle of a snowstorm! After getting my fill of interior design books I slowly made my way to Kate. The plan was for me to take her to a gorgeous Mediterranean inspired cafe where I love to eat salads & sip on something warm. After narrowly missing an already-in-progress car crash, we made our way to the seaside only to find Arden’s was closed! No worries, I picked up a coffee at the market. We got some retail therapy in at , & (I may start needlepointing!). Once I put on my new cozy winter-white sweater we drove by the water to for a fabulous lunch paired with their famous Rowayton Water(yes way Rowayton Rosé!). My Clam Chowder hit the spot & warmed me up inside and out. By the time the swan couple swam their way over to us, the bright pink of the sun started to peak out from the clouds, just in time to show off a stunning sunset. Thankfully it had stopped snowing because we still had to hit in New Haven on our way home! I found everything I needed and surprisingly, nothing more. What a great day it was. Bring on more wintertime day trips with friends. Let me know if you need suggestions! Time to treat myself to some meatballs with lingonberry sauce.
Feeling serene.
