“It’s official! Michael Solomon has signed the declaration papers for Providence Ward 5 City Council.

While this is the official start of campaign season, Michael has been canvassing throughout the ward with volunteers meeting voters and sharing his message of getting real results for Ward 5. Whether we’re talking to long time residents, younger renters worried they’ll never be able to afford a home here in Providence, or seniors on fixed incomes being squeezed by high prices — everyone agrees that our Ward need experienced leadership ready to lead from Day One.”

Father’s Day has been bittersweet since my dad, Anthony Solomon, passed away four years ago. He was not only a terrific father but a community leader and public servant whose example I have always tried to follow.

Happy Father’s Day to everyone, and grace to all those who are missing someone they love or otherwise find this day difficult.

Last night was a fantastic event at Triggs Golf Club in support of our campaign for Ward 5.

Triggs is a perfect example of where city government truly gets something right. Providence has an amazing public golf course designed by the famous Donald Ross, and it remains open to everyone at an affordable rate.

It was great to see so many supporters, both new and old, that attended and I can’t wait to back to canvassing tomorrow and meeting even more voters.
