Quonset must be transparent with North Kingstown. And when QDC projects will affect the lives of residents, they must engage the public in open dialogue and accessible meetings. I am committed to ensuring that NK has its say in the proposed biosolids processing facility.

Like all of my NK neighbors, I was surprised to learn of this proposal late last week. This project has progressed behind closed doors and without town input. It deserves public scrutiny from the neighborhood it will impact.

In the coming days and weeks, I am resolved to work with my colleagues in state government and on the Town Council to identify solutions and a path forward, where NK’s voice is heard loud and clear.

Community comes first and that is my solemn commitment.
