Tonight’s Pride FlagπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Raising at Providence City Hall was a powerful reminder of what Pride is all about: unity, visibility, support, remembrance, and celebration. πŸŽ‰
Thank you to Mayor Brett P. Smiley, the Providence City Council, Joe Wilson Jr., Director of the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture and Tourism, and all of the community leaders, partners, advocates, and supporters who came together for this special moment.
As Rhode Island Pride celebrates its 50th Anniversary, we remember where we have been, honor those who helped bring us here, and continue moving forward together.
Pride is more than one day, one flag, or one event. Pride is community. Pride is courage. Pride is showing up for each other.
We are PROUD. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ
We are UNITED. 🀝
WE ARE THE PEOPLE. ✊

As we continue through Pride Month, another important flag raising is happening TOMORROW in Cranston. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ
We encourage everyone to show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community as we come together to celebrate inclusion, equality, dignity, and the freedom to be who we are and love who we love.
Thank you to the City of Cranston, Mayor Kenneth J. Hopkins, the Cranston City Council, community leaders, residents, and everyone who continues to stand for respect, safety, visibility, and belonging for all.
We are PROUD.
We are UNITED.
WE ARE THE PEOPLE.

πŸ“£Tonight is a special moment in our 50th Anniversary celebration. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ
We hope to see everyone at Providence City Hall as we come together for the Pride Flag Raising with Mayor Brett Smiley.
This is more than a flag. It is a symbol of visibility, community, safety, freedom, and the right to live openly as who we are.
Let’s show up united, proud, and ready to celebrate the people, the history, and the love that brought us here.
We are PROUD.
We are UNITED.
WE ARE THE PEOPLE.
