Mark your calendars for this year's International Overdose Awareness Day!

Join us on Tuesday, September 1st as we recognize International Overdose Awareness Day with a statewide Narcan distribution and an evening vigil honoring those we've lost to overdose. This year, our goal is to distribute 5,000 Narcan kits across Rhode Island. We'll be at locations throughout the state, providing free Narcan, demonstrating how to use it, and sharing why carrying it can save a life.

Overdose is preventable. By challenging the stigma surrounding drug use and overdose, we can build a future where no one dies from a preventable overdose.

Thank you to our Board Member, Dr. Philip Chan, and Dr. Amy Nunn for this important op-ed highlighting what's working and what comes next for overdose prevention in Rhode Island.

At Project Weber/RENEW, we're proud to be part of this important work. In 2025, we served more than 7,000 individuals across our sites and remain committed to ensuring every Rhode Islander has access to lifesaving services.

We hope you'll take a moment to read and share.
