The lasting impact of Camp BraveHeart: 20 summers of healing - HopeHealth 07/14/2026

Twenty years ago, 46 children arrived at the first Camp BraveHeart carrying something no child should have to carry alone: the grief of losing someone they loved.

Today, Camp BraveHeart has grown to serve hundreds of children and teens each summer, offering a place where they can laugh, create, remember and discover they're not alone.

As Camp BraveHeart celebrates its 20th anniversary, former campers, volunteers and staff reflect on the community that has made two decades of healing possible. ❤️

Read how Camp BraveHeart continues to help children learn that grief and hope can exist together.

Today was a truly special day for our PediPal kids! 🌊💙

A heartfelt thank you to Gnome Surf for helping create an unforgettable day at the ocean filled with smiles, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

We're also so grateful to the Brown University BUSH volunteer team for making adorable pinwheel grab bags for each of our kids. Your thoughtfulness added an extra touch of joy to an already amazing day.

It takes a community of caring hearts to make days like this possible, and we're so thankful for everyone who helped make today so special.
