Farm Fresh Rhode Island
06/18/2026
We’re excited to share that $200,000 in funding for our Bonus Bucks program has been included in Rhode Island's FY2027 budget and signed into law by Governor Dan McKee! 🎉
This marks the first time Rhode Island has made a direct state investment in this vital food access initiative. Bonus Bucks doubles the value of SNAP benefits spent at participating farmers markets, making healthy food more affordable for families while creating new opportunities for local farmers and food businesses.
We are deeply grateful to Representative Susan Donovan for leading this effort, Representative Teresa Tanzi for her advocacy through the House Finance Committee, the bill's co-sponsors, House and Senate leadership, and Governor McKee for recognizing the importance of investing in food access and local agriculture.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone possible. Together, we're ensuring more families can access fresh, locally grown food!

Growing community, together 🌱
A huge thank you to Southside Community Land Trust for once again donating leftover seedlings from their annual plant sale to Hope’s Harvest!
Since 2020, this partnership has helped thousands of vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings find new homes at food pantries across Rhode Island—creating more opportunities for people to grow fresh, healthy food right in their own communities.
We're grateful for Southside's continued generosity and for their shared commitment to strengthening local food access, one seedling at a time. 💚
