My parents taught me to always do better. Even if I’m doing great, acknowledge that and find ways to do better. Not to compete with other people, but to only compete with myself. Not to be perfect, but just to be…better. There’s always room for improvement. My parents taught me how to hold my head up high and recognize where I come from and let it be my strength. I am Khmer and our history is the root of my strength.
