We were proud to support the first in-person workshop of WICTA (Women in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia), held as a satellite event alongside the ACTACC Annual Conference in London last week.

WICTA is dedicated to fostering mentoring, networking, and collaborative learning in a supportive environment, helping to inspire and advance the future of women in cardiothoracic anaesthesia.

Building on the success of last year’s virtual webinar, the inaugural face-to-face workshop brought together professionals for meaningful discussions on the challenges women continue to face in the workplace. The event was well attended and provided valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking, and peer support.

Events like WICTA play an important role in driving positive change, strengthening professional networks, and shaping a more diverse future for cardiothoracic anaesthesia.
