Spare Parts Racing

Well that didn’t go well. Looks like a momentary lack of concentration took Mike out of the race. It happens to all of us. But the good news is he made it to the 1/4 finals which is a money round so at least he won his entry fee back with a little on top. Overall it was a good day of racing.

Well Mike got the bye into the quarter finals in Sportsman, so he’s at least into the money rounds. This was just a test pass to try something out. It didn’t work haha.

Jason got it done again 3rd round in Pro...We are definitely going some rounds and Blue Mamba is doing it's job.

Second round of Sportsman for Mike. This round was a little weird because a car broke ahead of us but we wound up racing a car we wasn’t paired with. Either way Mike cut a good light (.015) and drove the finish line. Off to round 3 in both classes. If you happen to see this on 3/14/26 check out TSV Motorsports on YouTube to watch it live.

Jason wins round #1. Raced a bike dialing 4.88 to his 7.95 and came out on the good side of a double breakout.

Round one of Sportsman for Mike. Dialed a 7.94 holding .02. Since his opponent red lit he was able to test our prediction and it was dead on. Blue Mamba is off to round two in both Pro and Sportsman. Let’s see if Spare Parts Racing can get a win tonight.

It’s Race day! Mike’s first and only time trial for the day. After Jason’s first pass we thought something might be wrong because it went 7.944 @ 85.86 mph, but Mike’s pass backed it up with a 7.940 @ 85.89 mph. So it looks like the Dart is fine. Last time out the car was running 7.80’s but it was near sea level DA, while today it’s over 2000’. Either way I think we’re ready to start round 1.

Quarter final pass in Sportsman for Mike. He put up a decent run but come up just a little bit short.

The negative DA air kind of threw us for a loop when the car slowed down instead of picking up. The car went from printing 7.84/7.85 timeslips to a 7.89 and 7.87 when the weather data was saying we should he dialing closer to 7.80. It turned out to be a transmission fluid temp and/or converter temp issue, and once figured out no more problems. It was simply too hot and was resolved with a simple procedure adjustment. The last few passes the Dart was in solid 7.7x territory.
