It's not always easy to motivate yourself to do things like housework; mowing the lawn on a hot day, or commit to social obligations at times. But a person with Alzheimer's disease might:
• become very passive
• sit in front of the television for hours
• sleep more than usual
• require prompting or cues to become involved in anything from social activities to housework
• avoid change and have trouble concentrating and learning new things
• or not wanting to do usual activities
• defer to others and become increasingly unable to make decisions

• experience increased irritability, anxiety and depression.
• have periods of confusion & suspicious behavior
• exhibit repetitive behavior
