Reduce-Your-Footprint Week
Begins Monday, April 2, 12:00 p.m., in the MacKay Main Lounge, and concludes Thursday, April 5 at the same place and time. All are invited to participate

During the week of April 2 – 5, we are asking PTS students to carry all the trash they produce in four days in a single, one-gallon re-sealable bag wherever they go. To MacKay, to class—everywhere. All trash includes: recycled paper, coffee cups and lids, napkins, plastic utensils, cellophane wrappers, “to-go” cartons, bottles, cans, etc. If you normally throw it away or throw it in the recycling bin, for four days, it goes in the bag. (This will not include food waste and personal hygiene products.)

Participants will sign an honor statement indicating their commitment to carry all their trash with them at all times. Bags will be provided, and at the end of the week, each participant’s bag will be weighed. All participants will receive a BPA-free water bottle, and the lowest weight will win a $75 gift certificate to Whole Foods!

ATTN Students:
In light of the recent events surrounding the Trayvon Martin case, the Association of Black Seminarians in solidarity with ALS and BGLASS believe it is important, as a body of believers, to acknowledge this horrendous injustice that has taken place in this country.

Therefore, they have decided to organize a Speaking Up and Speaking Out Rally in memory of Trayvon Martin to be held this coming Thursday, March 29th at 12:15pm outside in front of MacKay Campus Center.

Students are encouraged to wear hoodies and/or black T-shirts to honor the memory of our fallen brother, Trayvon Martin.

This event is open to the entire community and all are welcome to participate. This will be a service of prayer, remembrance, worship, and powerful words of inspiration.

If you have any questions and/or comments or if you would like to assist in organizing, please feel free to email [email protected]
