Meanwhile, let us remember that living things work towards one fundamental objective - homeostasis: a state of equilibrium produced by a balancing of the life process. The Yogi realizes that this is the foundation of true happiness, only possible after obtaining optimal health plus an ability to direct one’s mind sufficiently enough to avoid the turmoil of compulsive emotions that are soon replaced by presence and loving awareness.
