We are currently seeking a caregiver for our day program working with Developmentally Disabled on Tuesdays and Thursday. We also have a Saturday position in our group home. We are looking for support providers for our clients that can perform in a professional and compassionate manner. Many clients require very minimal assistance, However It can be a demanding job depending on the clients needs or requirements. And, it can also be very satisfying and rewarding. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. please note that these tasks/responsibilities are all possible, but not the case with every client.
Responsibilities
Help clients take prescribed medication
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
Help clients with physical therapy exercises
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
Be a pleasant and supportive companion
Report any unusual incidents
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Respectful and compassionate
Good time management skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ethics
Physical endurance

Our Prescott location is seeking Program Assistants focused on delivering the highest quality programming and personal care for each man and woman we serve.
To be successful in this environment having experience working with men and women with developmental disabilities is a plus but not essential.

Starting schedule is 6-8 hours per day Monday through Friday in between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and the starting wage is $15.00 per hour. D.O.E
