The sustenance of art…

Love this man. I was just thinking about this today. How many people disregard art and creativity, sometimes hinting that it’s only a hobby. Or worse… A waste of time. But, for me, Cinema really is like my religion. Yeah, I’m kind of joking, but I can’t even count the amount of times that a great movie, or an amazing interview with someone I respect, or even a new show has truly helped pull out of a depression - which I’ve struggled with my whole life. The culture of Cinema has always been there for me. Cliché. I know. But it’s true. Going to the theater is like going to church. Even if the movie sucked, I still deeply enjoy the experience. So, agreeing with Ethan Hawke here, I think art is important. Of course, it is. It saves people in a sense. Helps us keep going for one more day.
