It’s going to be a hot one this Saturday, so let’s make it an EARLY Porch Bakery Day!

Free Coffee and samples will be served!
Come grab your favorite sourdough goodies before the Arizona heat sets in!
I’ll be featuring some delicious new summer flavors, fresh baked treats, and for the first time… focaccia will be on the menu! 🍞✨
Just a heads up — I will NOT be doing preorders this week or next week, so if there’s something you’ve been craving, make sure to stop by early. Everything is first come, first served.
There will be plenty of favorites along with some fun new creations to try!

I work a full time job and running my side business - so I need a little help
I hired him as one of my employees to help me with both jobs 😝
I’ve spent a lot of time lately reflecting on how quickly life changes.
As the song Landslide says, “I’ve been afraid of changing because I’ve built my life around you.” And like so many moms, I did exactly that. I poured my heart into raising my kids, building a home, and creating a life centered around family.
Now I’m in my 50s, my kids are grown, and this season looks different than I ever imagined. But it’s beautiful in its own way.
These days, I’m enjoying life as an empty nester, soaking up time with my three amazing sons, my three bonus daughters, little Whiskey Bear, and my husband of 33 years.
Out of this new season, Rooted & Rising Porch Bakery was born.
Rooted in Faith. Rising in Purpose.
What started as a love for baking became something more—a way to serve others, connect with my community, and share a little comfort and joy through homemade bread and baked goods.
Life may look different than it did years ago, but I’m learning that every season has its purpose. And sometimes, the things we thought we were leaving behind are simply making room for something new to grow.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for allowing me to bake with love for you and your families. ❤️

My very first farmers market, a man came up to my booth and asked where my sourdough starter was from. That ended up being one of the most common questions of the day. ☺️
I told him it had been passed down from my son’s girlfriend and originally came from Oregon. His face lit up because he used to live there too. He then shared the sweetest story about his late wife, who made award-winning pies and won at the state fair year after year. ❤️
Moments like that are what I love most about farmers markets.
It’s so much more than just bread and baked goods. It’s connection, conversation, memories, and hearing people’s stories along the way.
I’m so thankful I get to bake for people, meet new faces, and hear little pieces of their lives. That conversation truly made my day.

☀️ Wake & Bake Days ☀️
A lot of preparation goes into baking day. What you see on baking morning actually starts 2 days earlier with feeding starters, mixing dough, stretch and folds, shaping, proofing, a lot of math 😝 and planning every detail.
The days can be long, and the alarm clock definitely goes off early, but I truly love every part of the process. There’s something special about turning simple ingredients into homemade sourdough goodness for others to enjoy.
Every loaf, muffin, cookie, and cinnamon roll is made by hand and made with love. ❤️
