Outback Irrigation

This evening we took care of an emergency leak! Water was running down the street. Sprinklers were not actually staying on, but they were leaking enough to make a mess! We arrived, and immediately knew we had a valve issue. The box was full of water and you could hear the valve bypassing. We verified which of the 3 valves it was using our needle stethoscope and then went to work! Once we opened the valve, we found these small fragments from a garden hose oring lodged indie the valve!

It doesn't take much to disrupt the vacuum inside a valve. This can lead to leaks, causing wet spots in the yard, damage to the grass, and high water bills.

If you notice wet spots around your sprinklers, see water leaking from them, or have high water bills, it may be worth an inspection to see if your valves are closing properly!
