Day 2 of competition—one of my favorite pictures….
No that’s not a cell phone, it’s a calculator! I love when kids can learn math and apply it!!! Ditch the digital devices and build something!!

Our Geometry in Construction class has been busy while we have had the nice weather! We learned how to layout batter-boards to mark out the concrete pad we are pouring for our shed. We then used a laser level to find the height of the proposed concrete. Lots of shoveling and leveling gravel and sand along with cutting and tying rebar have us ready to pour the concrete pad next Tuesday. Thanks to Younie Lawnscapes Inc for letting us borrow the concrete tools we will be using.

Pratt High Greenbacks hosted a District Skillsusa Kansas leadership contest Tuesday. Karsyn Bailey earned 2nd place in T-shirt design and will participate in the state contest held in Hutchinson on March 3rd. Congrats!!
