The department announced two key promotions, effective Wednesday, with Chief Hoffman promoting Eric Welch to Assistant Chief and Patrick Petersen to Captain. Both are highly capable leaders ready to serve the city of Pratt in their new capacities!

Sunday April 19th approximately 2000 hr @ 507 N. Ninnescah, fire broke out on a wooden deck at the rear of the structure, fire grew rapidly and fire personnel were able to extinguish quickly but had live downed power lines and a gas meter that had burned and melted which also helped feed the fire, State Fire Marshal was called to assist with a cause. No one was at home at the time of the fire.
