We would like to let our families know that we are working to offer a limited opening tomorrow. We were very fortunate that the schools did not sustain any damage during the flood. Our Sherwood Forest location is still without power and will not open until DEMCO can restore it. The water in the area is receding rapidly and we are hopeful that it will be on soon. Any Sherwood families needing care may bring their child to either of the other two CW locations. Sherwood employees that are able are reporting for duty in Prairieville to assist your children there. As of now we are hoping to open tomorrow at our Prairieville locations from 8 am- 5 pm. We have spoken to officials in the area and feel that it is safe for us to open at this time. If conditions change overnight with backwater flooding, we may need to cancel the opening for tomorrow. Please call before you come to be sure. As always, safety is our top priority. Many of our staff, like many of you have lost so much or are still trapped by flooded roadways and will not be in. Because we are operating with a skeleton crew tomorrow, we ask that you please only bring your child if it is CRITICAL for you to do so. When we reach our state mandated capacity for the amount of staff we have we will be forced to turn families away. We would like be able to accommodate families where both parents must report to work, or have dangerous conditions at home. As always, stay safe and stay vigilant.
