Mr. Willis A. Funn, Sr served his community and his country for many years.

He made important and meaningful contributions to his family, his church, his alma mater historic Pocahontas School, the community and public schools.

He was a wonderful man who made a difference in Powhatan County, Virginia.

It is a shame that the school board today — the one that he once led - pursues a blatantly racist and fiscally irresponsible path to destroy the original primary school and historic structures where he attended and many of us did over the years as well.

The leadership of the current school administration and school board stand in sharp and sickening contrast to the leadership that Mr. Funn provided to advance our schools and move us forward as a community.

The racist and fiscally irresponsible leadership today takes us back to dark and evil places where opportunities were denied and progress was restricted rather than advanced.

We have a mess on our hands with Dr. Beth Teigen and her racist and evil regime — her predatory lawyers and her supporters on the school board who perpetuate racism, bullying and the wasteful and reckless expenditure of taxpayer dollars.

Mr. Funn led us forward. We miss his leadership and commitment to the community.

The special prosecutor from Albemarle County, James Hingeley filed contempt charges against Dr. Kandise Lucas because she notified the United States Department of Justice about the improper handling of her case and the many missteps and violations of the way that she has been treated in Powhatan County.

The judge said that the Commonwealth's Attorney from Albemarle did not have grounds for these charges because Dr. Lucas was within her rights to point out what appears obvious to many of us who have been following Dr. Lucas' case.

It is nothing but a judicial lynching and a complete waste of the taxpayers' money.

Mr. Hingeley took his time today to travel from Albemarle County at our expense with a UVA law school student in tow to observe his jacked up prosecutorial skills and injustice against an African American advocate for our taxpayers and disabled children.

Dr. Lucas will be exonerated and will see the end to the Harry F. Byrd courthouse regime of Yates/Maxey/Cella/Dobbins/Nunnally that is perpetuating racism and injustice and nepotism. It is time for this to end.

I did not realize that today was a special contempt of court hearing - I was thinking that I needed to attend on January 20 for Dr. Lucas hearing in our circuit court.

Judge Paul Cella took a letter that Dr. Lucas wrote for Alex Halvorsen and interpreted that to mean that she practices law without a license -- why would he think that -- is it lasting effects from a near death motorcycle accident that has clouded his judgement?

Is it the after effects of terminal Cancer treatments that have rendered him unable to determine the difference between a PhD advocate for disabled children in our community and a lawyer?

Dr. Lucas has been clear from day one. It is the court system here that has been unclear. Dr. Lucas never represented herself as a lawyer. She authored a letter for Kathy Halvorsen for her son, Alex, regarding his education. Dr. Lucas is a PhD special education advocate with licensure and credentials.

Why would she be on the state bar association membership roster where Paul Cella looked for her name if she is not a licensed attorney. Did he not answer his own question when he checked for her name on the membership roll?

Is he a member of the all white exclusive Fine Creek Club or the Fox and Hounds? Is Douglas Palmore, the father of our commissioner of accounts? How was she appointed? Was her father the headmaster of the all white racist Huguenot Academy years ago?

Why is Paul Cella on the bench in Virginia?

Why is Dr. Lucas facing these charges and why are we paying for it as taxpayers? How much was Hingeley paid to take time away from the people of Albemarle County who elected him -- why is he in Powhatan County pursuing this judicial lynching?

Is it because Dr. Lucas is African American and stands up to his kind and the remnants of Harry F. Byrd who run our courts today?

Why hasn't Mr. Benway been indicted for the unauthorized practice of law in Virginia by answering Vicki Hurt's legal questions about the Demolition Services contract for Pocahontas that she supported to destroy early African American educational heritage and our shared history and humanity in Powhatan County?

Does Vicki Hurt know the cost of her vote to the taxpayers of Powhatan? How much has the school board spent with Sands Anderson law firm on the appeal of the denied permit for Pocahontas?

Is that going before Judge Cella or Judge Teefey?

If anyone in this community has a case that is being heard by Judge Cella, Judge Stark or Judge Teefey - please let your legal advisor know that the case needs to be put under review and exercise caution because we are in the process of trying to have these judges removed.

Now, Dr. Lucas is gearing up to fight the Harry F. Byrd and Jim Crow left overs of Powhatan County Courthouse next week.

She will prevail against Robert Cerullo, Paul Cella, Theresa Hash Dobbins, Brad Nunnally and Marilyn Durham with their crony Albemarle County Commonwealth's Attorney James Hingeley.

She stands for what is right and just. They stand for racism and injustice.
